Technical Tip: IAM user cannot run or schedule Report in FortiGate Cloud v25.4a

Description

This article describes a known issue in FortiGate Cloud v25.4a that prevents IAM users from successfully running or scheduling reports even though the associated FortiGate has a paid FortiGate Cloud subscription.

Scope

FortiGate Cloud 25.4a.

Solution

An affected IAM user will observe the 'Run report' and 'Schedule' buttons are grayed out in the Reports menu.

The issue has been identified in FortiGate Cloud version 25.4a and is scheduled for resolution in version 26.1, tentatively scheduled for release in February 2026. In normal circumstances, FortiGate Cloud is upgraded quarterly, see Technical Tip: FortiGate Cloud upgrade cycle.

 

Workaround:

Login to the FortiGate Cloud using the primary account email user to run or schedule reports.

 

Note: A FortiGate without a paid FortiGate Cloud subscription only supports an automatically generated summary report, see Reports. If an IAM user is not able to run or schedule reports for a free-tier FortiGate, this is expected behavior.
