Technical Tip: How to monitor a dial-up IPsec VPN user in FortiCloud

Description

This article describes how to check connected IPsec VPN dial-up users in FortiGate Cloud.

Scope

FortiGate Cloud.

Solution

Expectations, requirements:

1. IPsec dial-up VPN is already configured and up and running.
2. A FortiCloud basic account.
   
   

Configuration:

On the FortiGate, make sure that firewall policies for the IPsec VPN has 'Log all sessions' enabled.

On FortiCloud:

1. IPsec VPN dial up is already up and running.
2. Log in to FortiCloud.
3. Go to FortiView -> VPN Tunnel.
4. Alternatively, see the info under FortiView -> Source and verify the IP address range delivered by the VPN.
