Solution | After the deletion of a VDOM, the FortiGate started presenting CMDBERROR messages whenever firewall configuration changes were attempted. As a result, configuration modifications could not be successfully committed. ![]() During the investigation, diagnostic logs were collected and analyzed, revealing abnormally high CPU utilization by the cmdbsvr process. Although restarting the process (fnsysctl killall cmdbsvr) was considered as a temporary mitigation. Resolution: Upgrade the device to FortiOS 7.4.10 or later, where the fixes were introduced. |
