Solution | After the deletion of a VDOM, the FortiGate started presenting CMDBERROR messages whenever firewall configuration changes were attempted. As a result, configuration modifications could not be successfully committed.  During the investigation, diagnostic logs were collected and analyzed, revealing abnormally high CPU utilization by the cmdbsvr process. Although restarting the process (fnsysctl killall cmdbsvr) was considered as a temporary mitigation. Resolution: Upgrade the device to FortiOS 7.4.10 or later, where the fixes were introduced. |
