Description This article describes how to renew the IP address of a FortiGate WAN interface that is in DHCP, DHCPv6 or PPPoE mode in the GUI.
Scope FortiGate.
Solution

There are cases where the FortiGate interface does not receive an IP address, or it is necessary to renew the obtained IP address on an interface configured in DHCP or PPPoE mode.

To resolve the issue, open the GUI and go to Network -> Interface, then edit the Interface. On the Edit Interface page, select the 'Renew' button for the Obtained IP/Netmask.
