Description This article describes why the management IP is unchanged after making changes in a Fabric Connector device.
Scope FortiWeb, FortiGate.
Solution

In FortiGate, Fabric Connectors provides single pane  of access of devices in the topology. Security Fabric can be used to coordinate the behavior of multiple Fortinet products in the network. It is a place to see whole topology of Fortinet devices in the network and provide access to the GUI of multiple devices from a single location.

The following is an example of the Security Fabric logical topology:

Use this to gain access to the connected devices, such as FortiWeb or FortiAnalyzer, etc.

If there is a change to the management IP of the FortiWeb, it will not automatically update on the Security fabric side.

Pre-changes of the management IP 10.47.1.197 on FortiWeb:

Note: The management IP did not change automatically.

To make changes to the management IP on the security fabric of FortiGate, navigate to the bottom of security fabric page and find update now button. It will show the topology change as well.

Select the Update Now button and then check the management IP for the FortiWeb device under the security fabric. It will change to the modified one.

The IP is changed successfully to the new one.

Note: If the IP is is not changing, try using incognito mode or clear the cache from the browser as well.

If no workaround is successful, reach out to Support via the Fortinet support portal for further help.
