Description This article describes an issue with a FortiGate's LED status display in version 7.4.9.
Scope FortiGate 80F/80E.
Solution

After upgrading the device 80E/80F to 7.4.9, the LED status of the device for the WAN port will be down if the speed of the WAN port is set to 100full/half. However, the port works fine without any issue.

Workaround: Change the speed of the port to auto, 10full, or 1000full.

To change the speed of the interface, use the following command:

config system interface
    edit <interface-name>
        set speed <1000full/10000half/100full/100half/10full/10half/auto>
end

This issue is not observed in the latest release 7.4.11: the LED light remains up with interface speed set to 100 full.
