Description This article describes a way to troubleshoot IPsec slowness on a FortiGate deployed in Azure.
Scope FortiGate VM, Azure.
Solution

At times, slowness in IPsec can be encountered on a FortiGate VM on Azure.

Check whether DDoS protection is enabled for the public IP on the Azure portal.

  1. In the Search resources, services, and docs box (at the top of the portal), enter the name of the public IP address that needs DDoS Protection disabled. Select it when it appears in the search results.
  2. Under Properties in the overview pane, select DDoS Protection.
  3. Under Protection type, select Disable, then select Save.
