Troubleshooting Tip: How to bring the status of FortiGate UP in the FortiSandbox GUI.

Description This article describes how to bring the status of FortiGate UP  in the FortiSandbox GUI 
Scope Any version that supports FortiSandbox and FortiGate
Solution

In the following example the issue is that the last two FortiGate’s status is down in Sandbox GUI:

The status on the FortiGate to Sandbox is good when seen on the FortiGate side.

To fix this issue, enable Sandbox inspection in AV profile on the FortiGate as below:

On the Fortigate: 

  • Go to Security Profiles > AntiVirus.
  • Enable FortiSandbox inspection by selecting either Suspicious Files Only or All Supported Files.

 

Once it is enabled, use this AV profile in any one IPv4 Policy. As soon it is enabled on policy, the status of the FortiGates in the Sandbox GUI comes UP.
