Description

This article provides details on a known issue with the FSSO Terminal Server (TS) Agent that causes issues with the NetLogon service and other Windows features that rely on it.

Scope

FSSO TS Agent version 5.0.0330, FortiGate, FortiAuthenticator.

Solution

If the FSSO TS Agent is upgraded to or installed with version 5.0.0330 (released in combination with FortiOS v7.4.10), this can lead to issues with Windows services.

In particular, the TS Agent may cause the Windows NetLogon service to stop on the terminal server, and any services or features that rely on it may stop working, such as loading Group Policy Objects or accessing network shares.

This is tracked under ID 1271304 and resolved in TS Agent version 5.0.0332, released in combination with FortiOS v8.0.0.

The TS Agent version (and Collector Agent version) can also be used in combination with other FortiOS or FortiAuthenticator firmware versions, and does not require the use of FortiOS (or FortiAuthenticator) v8.0.
