Troubleshooting Tip: FortiSwitch Connection to FortiGate

If FortiLink is not coming up, it is necessary to verify a few settings on the FortiGate:

• Verify if CAPWAP is enabled on the Firewall interface connecting to the FortiSwitch: Configuring the FortiGate interface to manage FortiAP units.

• Verify if the  NTP is enabled on the correct interface: Technical Tip: FortiSwitch device unable to get online on FortiGate Managed Fortiswitch GUI Menu.

• Verify settings on the FortiSwitch side: Configuring FortiLink - FortiLink documentation.

• If the connection still does not work after configuring the above settings, troubleshoot the issue with Troubleshooting Tip: Fix FortiSwitch showing with the 'Offline' status.
