Description

This article describes an issue where certain category action settings are not retained when the Default Web Filter Profile is cloned.

Scope

FortiGate v7.2.8

Solution

In the 'default' Web Filter profile, all categories under Adult/Mature Content and Unrated are set to Block. However, when the profile is cloned, these categories are incorrectly set to Warning instead of Block.

This issue has been resolved in FortiOS version 7.2.11.

Workaround:

Use the CLI to clone the default webfilter profile.

General debug information required by FortiGate TAC for investigation:

  1. TAC Report: execute tac report
  2. Configuration file of the FortiGate.
  3. Fortinet Support Tool data: see Troubleshooting Tip: Collect GUI slowness and errors debugs via Fortinet Support Tool.
