Troubleshooting Tip: Cannot create access profile entries on FortiGate based on the maximum value table

Description

This article describes on FortiGate, access profile entries are not created based on the maximum value table

Scope

FortiOS 6.4.x, 7.2.x, 7.4.x and 7.6.x

Solution
  1. system.accprofile has a maximum value table of 10 on the FortiGate-40F.

  1. There is an issue where the user cannot create the admin profile based on the FortiGate maximum value.
  2. Creating the admin profiles, the user gets the error 'reached the maximum number of entries'.
  3. Below is the attached screenshot of the error:

  1. The user is not able to create the 8th admin profile because there are already two default admin profiles: 'prof_admin' and 'super_admin' on the FortiGate. These are also counted in the maximum value database.
