Technical Tip: YouTube education filter does not allow whitelisted channels

Solution
The FortiGate has to be in proxy mode.
'SSL Deep Inspection' needs to be enabled for better and consistent filtering of channels.
Important: In order for this feature to work, allow access to YouTube, after what the filtering will be done & blocked/allowed as per ‘youtube-channel-filter’ config.
When YouTube is blocked, even the Channels are also blocked regardless of the ‘youtube-channel-filter’ settings.
Hence, allow YouTube as a web rating overrides to a category which is allowed in the configuration if 'Streaming & Download' category is blocked for other websites.
