Description

This article explains even though ISDB versions are same, why there is a different number of entries in ISDB database in FortiGate.

Scope

FortiGate.

Solution

FortiGate-3800D:The
ISDB database version is 7.00729 and the total entries are 422.

FortiGate-2000E :
ISDB database version is 7.00729 and total entries are 527.

Explanation.
When the FortiGate receives new ISDB from FortiGuard servers, if one ISDB object is removed in the new ISDB package, FortiGate still keeps it, but it has no data.
This is the reason for the difference in entries in the Internet Services Database.
When the FortiGate rebooted, those unused objects were removed automatically.
