Technical Tip: WAN Optimization of IPSec traffic

Purpose
The attached document explains how to configure WAN optimization to work on traffic passing through an IPSec VPN tunnel for FortiOS 5.0 and 5.2.

Note: The steps for configuring WAN optimization without IPSec are very similar.  The only difference is that the WAN optimization rule will not point to an IPSec interface.

WAN optimization is available on FortiGate models with internal storage that also support SSL acceleration.
