Technical Tip: Viewing the VLAN ID in GUI

Description This article describes how to view the VLAN ID configured on FortiGate via the GUI.
Scope FortiOS.
Solution

To view the actual VLAN ID configured for the interface, the 'VLAN ID' column can be added. This will provide a birds eye view of the interfaces with VLANs.

 

Go to Network -> Interface, then add the VLAN ID column. The VLAN ID will then be visible.

Once enabled, the VLAN ID is visible:

This is useful because there are instances where the naming and the actual VLAN ID may be misconfigured.
