Solution

To troubleshoot issues with using Generic Object Importer to import FQDN/Domain Names, follow these steps:

1. This is under Security Fabric -> External Connectors -> Generic Object Importer.

2. Verify that the JSON file is correctly formatted.

3. The JSON file should contain the FQDN/Domain Names in the value field, without the http:// or https:// prefix.

4. Check the FortiGate logs to see if there are any error messages related to the Generic Object Importer.

5. Run the following commands to check the status of the external resources.

diagnose sys external-resource stats
diagnose sys external-address-resource list
