Description This article describes how FortiGate devices still show Enhanced Support Premium instead of Enhanced Support Elite after upgrading Enhanced Support Premium to Elite.
Scope FortiGate v7.4/v7.6.
Solution
  1. It has been confirmed that the FortiGate device will display Enhanced Support Elite in the dashboard after upgrading Enhanced Support Premium to Elite. Tentatively, the issue will be fixed in FortiGate firmware v7.4.8 and v7.6.3.
Refer to Update naming of FortiCare support levels v7.2.1.

  2. It is always advised to check the contract/license information on support.fortinet.com only. Refer to Technical Tip: How to Determine if A Device is Entitled for Elite Service.

  3. The Elite user will have to log in to the FortiCare Elite Portal. Refer to Getting started with the FortiCare Elite Portal.

  4. The update debug log will shows the FortiGate Device received Elite Service from FDS. The example log shows 'Extracting contract...(SupportTypeDesc=ASET:Elite Service*AVDB:Advanced Malware Protection'.

  5. This is something related to FortiGate WebUI displays issue on Support Level. The Elite Service is active once verified the aforementioned Step 2 to 4.
