Technical Tip: Tag spam using the MIME header

Description

Adding a tag to the MIME header of an email is a non-intrusive way of adding an attribute (such as a spam status) to an email.

Many email clients allow filtering emails by MIME header content, so it is a very convenient way for sorting detected spam email into a separate folder.

Note.

Some popular email clients (MS Outlook and Outlook Express) do not support filtering email by MIME headers.
