Technical Tip: System File Integrity Check may Fail and cause Device Shutdown when FortiGate enters into Conserve Mode

After the device enters conserve mode, it will remain operational as long as the system can allocate sufficient memory for the file integrity check.
However, when memory utilization reaches 97% or above, the system may be unable to allocate the required memory for this process. At this point, the system file integrity check fails, leading to a device shutdown. A power cycle is necessary to restart the device.

The following error is observed in the System Event logs of FortiGate:

This issue has been resolved in v7.0.16, v7.2.11, v7.4.5, v7.6.1.
