Solution
The official FortiOS versions supported for Site-to-Site IPsec VPN with Microsoft Azure are:
- v5.2.7 and above.
- v5.4.x
Microsoft provides official OS compatibility on the following link: About VPN devices and IPsec/IKE parameters for Site-to-Site VPN Gateway connections.
In case of using older FortiOS versions (v5.2.6 or older), it is possible to experience phase2 random failures after server minutes/hours.
