Technical Tip: SSL VPN users cannot approve/deny FortiToken request on FortiToken Mobile app
| Description | This article describes a workaround when an SSL VPN user with FortiToken cannot approve/deny FortiToken requests on the FortiToken Mobile app. |
| Scope | FortiGate, FortiClient. |
| Solution | In the authentication process with a user that has FortiToken associated, in first hand must be field user and password FortiClient fields. After this, FortiClient will ask for the token code or press allow/deny in the FortiToken Mobile app:
Sometimes issues in this process can arise and cause this authentication not to be completed. As a workaround, field password FortiClient field with the password and token code together.
Example: The password used in this scenario is passwordvpn and the token code is 432554.
To field it, type passwordvpn432554 and select 'Connect' button and this will avoid the request or popup approval:
Note: Above that is not a fix, the only thing offered is a workaround. To fix/troubleshoot it, a ticket to TAC Support must be created. |
