Technical Tip: SNMP OID for FortiClient EMS connection status

Description This article describes important information regarding the SNMP OID, which can be used to retrieve the FortiClient EMS connectivity status from a FortiGate Firewall.
Scope FortiOS version 7.4.2.
Solution

The connectivity status between the FortiGate Firewall and FortiClient EMS can be monitored using the SNMP server.

The following SNMP can be used to retrieve the status information using SNMP.

 

.1.3.6.1.4.1.12356.101.27.2.1.1.4

 

SNMP OID is available for FortiGate Firewall running in version 7.4.2 or above.

Below is a sample output of the SNMP polling to retrieve the FortiClient EMS connection status.

As shown in the screenshot, the integer values represent the connection status, where 0 indicates disconnected, 1 indicates connecting, and 2 indicates connected.
