Technical Tip: SD-WAN rule page keeps on loading on the secondary GUI when accessing through dedicated HA management interface

Description

This article describes the GUI issue with loading the SDWAN rules page when accessing the secondary unit through the HA management interface. 

Scope

FortiGate v7.4.0 to v7.4.6.

Solution

As the secondary unit is not permitted to make a monitor API call for the virtual-wan/health-check, the GUI keeps loading when accessing the SD-WAN rule page. 

This behavior will change as of v7.4.8 and v7.6.1 (known issue ID 1058616), replacing the constant loading page with an error as shown below:
