Technical Tip: SD-WAN link status update through automation stitch feature

Description

This article describes how to update the SD-WAN link status through the automation stitch feature.

Solution

1. Once the WAN links are successfully configured into SD-WAN deployment.
   
   

2. It is possible to configure an automation stitch profile, as below under Security Fabric -> Automation.
    
   

    

    

   Select TRIGGER =Event Log 'Virtual WAN Link Status' and Action =Email.

    

   In version 7.0 and above the event log trigger has been changed.

    

   

    

   

    

   Select TRIGGER =Event Log 'Sdwan link status' and Action =Email.

    

3. When there is any SD-WAN link status change UP/DOWN, an email alert to the configured email address will be received.
