This article describes what will happen if the NAS IP field is left empty when RADIUS server is configured on a FortiGate.
Solution
When the NAS IP field is left empty in the RADIUS server configuration as shown below, the FortiGate will send the NAS IP field with no value in the RADIUS Access Request to the RADIUS server.
It should be noted that it will not send the FortiGate IP address by default.
