Technical Tip: Remove the ‘Quick Connection’ widget in SSL VPN web mode

Description
The SSL VPN web mode 'Quick Connection' widget will help users to connect to multiple defined services when there are no pre-defined bookmarks.

This article describes how to remobe this widget in SSL VPN web mode.


Solution
'Quick Connection' widget will allow the users to configure the direct access for the services mentioned below without the pre-defined bookmark being enabled on the portal,

- SSH
- Telnet
- RDP
- Citrix
- VNC

However, to remove this widget so as to restrict the user with the access to these services can be achieved as below.

Disabling the Quick Connection tool:

Go to FortiGate GUI VPN -> SSL-VPN Portals, select 'Create New', Select the portal to edit, select check box 'Web Mode', select check box to disable 'Show Connection Launcher' and select 'OK'.
