Technical Tip: Moving managed FortiAP to a different VDOM

In this case, FortiAP is connected through a managed FortiSwitch. The FortiAP is connected through port2 on the FortiSwitch. The original VDOM is root and the new VDOM will be ccmc. FortiAP provision will depend on the managed VLAN where it is connected.

From the new VDOM, verify that the switch port where the AP is connected is presented with a new VLAN belonging to the new VDOM.


After authorizing the AP on the new VDOM, it will be offline and online on the old VDOM.
