Technical Tip: Manage VM license on FortiGate-VM

Description This article describes how users can manage the VM licenses from the FortiGate-VM itself by uploading a new license based on the requirements or changes.
Scope

FortiGate-VM v7.6.x.
Solution

To manage the VM licenses follow the steps:

  • Select FortiGuard -> Subscription -> Firmware, VM, and base subscriptions -> Manage VM license.

  • Choose the File - > Upload the new license file (.lic). Purchase the tier appropriate for the user's needs and upload the license here.
