Technical Tip: Import FortiToken license error: -7566

Description

 

This article describes how to resolve the error when trying to recover the two trial tokens.

 

Scope
 
FortiGate.
 

Solution

 
When trying to recover the two (2) free trial FortiToken Mobile tokens by applying the command:
 
execute fortitoken-mobile import 000-0000-0000-0000-0000
 
The error 'import fortitoken license error: -7566' is displayed.

To check the details of the error, run the following debug while importing the trial tokens:

 

diagnose debug application forticldd -1

diagnose fortitoken debug enable
diagnose debug enable

 

The correct format for the command to recover the trial tokens:
 
execute fortitoken-mobile import 0000-0000-0000-0000-0000

 

To recover from the GUI: Go to FortiTokens -> Create New -> Mobile Token and enter the Activation Code.
