Technical Tip: How to see the connected transceiver information on FortiGate

This article explains how to view the connected transceiver information, such as the type, serial number, and port name on FortiGate GUI.

Solution
GUI :

Go to Network -> Interfaces
The “Transceiver” column is visible in the table, which displays the transceiver vendor name and part number.

Keep the mouse tool tip over the transceiver name which will display more information about the transceiver, including the:
- Type
- Vendor name
- Part number
- Serial number
- Port name (Interface)
