Technical Tip: How to install the Fortinet Support Tool extension on Edge and Brave

It is possible to install extensions from the Chrome Web Store on both the Edge and Brave browsers.

There may be equivalent steps if using a different browser and it is Chromium-based, but this will depend on the specific browser.

Microsoft Edge:

1. Navigate to the extensions page by selecting the three dots. Select 'Extensions',  and press on 'Manage Extensions' in the pop-up.

2. Check the 'Allow extensions from other stores'  button. 

3. Navigate to the Chrome store and attempt to install the extension.

4. It should be possible to either view a capture or take one from the FortiGate.

Brave:

1. By default, Brave lets the user install extensions from the Chrome Web Store. Navigate to the extension in the store, and the option to install is visible.

2. The extension is installed and ready to either view a capture or take one from the FortiGate.
