Technical Tip: How to get notification email when FortiGuard web filter is unrechable

| Solution | Enabling UTM in the IPv4/firewall policy is the best practice. However, due to multiple reasons, the FortiGuard web filter service would be not reachable. So during this issue, if it is possible to get email notifications and post that it is either possible to make some modifications or use a URL filter to allow the sites. 
As soon a notification appears, it is possible to try to ping the FortiGuard server and based on the result, it is possible to proceed further. |
