Technical Tip: How to get details of a transceiver connected in a managed FortiSwitch from the FortiGate CLI

Description This article describes how to get the transceiver information which is connected to a managed FortiSwitch physical interface from FortiGate or the FortiGateVM CLI.
Scope FortiOS.
Solution A transceiver that is connected with any managed FortiSwitch interface or switchport can be viewed from the FortiGate WiFi and Switch Controller option. The information can be found in the WiFi & Switch Controller -> FortiSwitch Ports section in the FortiOS GUI. It can also be fetched from the CLI by using the following commands from FortiOS:
