Technical Tip: How to download images/setup files from the Support portal
Description
This article describes how to download images/setup files from the support portal.
Scope
FortiGate.
Solution
To check the supported upgrade path:
- Log in to Support.
- Select Download -> Firmware Images.
- Select Product.
- Select Upgrade Path.
- Select Model.
- Select the current FortiOS version and the version to upgrade to.
- Select Go.
Or it can also be checked from this link Upgrade path tool.
To download the firmware image:
- Log in to Support.
- Select Download -> Firmware Images.
- Select Product.
- Select Download.
- Select Version, Series, and Patch.
- Download a file for a specific model by selecting 'HTTPS'.
Example: To download v7.6.0 for a FortiGate 101F model:
v7.00 / 7.6 / 7.6.0 / FGT_101F-v7.6.0.F-build3401-FORTINET.out
FGT_101F-v7.6.0.F-build3401-FORTINET.out
The option 'VM Images', which is seen just below the Firmware Images, shows the latest Images for Virtual Machines available to download and is not for all VM Images. To check or download the Images for Virtual Machines of Versions or Platforms it needs to be found as shown above.
To download an FSSO setup file:
- Log in to Support.
- Select Download -> Firmware Images.
- Select Product.
- Select Download.
- Select Version, Series, and Patch.
- Select FSSO Folder.
- Select 'DCAgent_Setup.exe' to download only a DC Agent setup.
- Select 'FSSO_Setup.exe' to download the Collector Agent Suite.
- Select 'TSAgent_Setup' to download Terminal Server setup.
To download MIB files.
- Log in to Support.
- Select Download -> Firmware Images.
- Select Product.
- Select Download.
- Select Version, Series, and Patch.
- Select MIB Folder.
- Download 'FORTINET-CORE-MIB.mib' and 'FORTINET-FORTIGATE-MIB.mib'.
