Technical Tip: How to create a summary report on FortiCloud

Description

This article describes the basic steps to create daily/weekly summary report on FortiCloud account.

Scope

FortiCloud.

Solution

Login to the FortiCloud Portal (https://www.forticloud.com) with credentials and navigate to Services -> FortiGate Cloud.
Make sure to select the correct region where units are located:

 

Change Name to 'Summary Report', then select the FortiGate serial number and the Schedule type accordingly. 

 

 

To receive the Summary Report via email, enable 'Send report to', select the drop-down menu, and select the + sign to create an email group. Enter name and recipient email accordingly and select OK twice to save. 

 

 

To modify the existing email address configured for daily scheduled reports:

 

1. Navigate to Analytics -> Scheduled Reports -> Scheduled report:

 

 

2. Select Manage email groups option and change the email configuration.

 

 

 

Note:

FortiGate without a FortiCloud subscription only supports a '360 Degree Activities Report'. Other report templates require a valid FortiCloud subscription. The retention period of logs on the FortiGate Cloud Portal is 1 year for paid FortiCloud subscription users and up to 7 days for free users. Additionally, a maximum of 5 reports can be downloaded at once.
