Technical Tip: How to check FortiGuard SMS quota

Description

This article describes how to check the FortiGuard SMS quota. When using the FortiGuard SMS server for two-factor authentication, exhaust the SMS quota to stop receiving the code in the SMS.

Solution

Use the following command to check the remaining quota:

execute  fortiguard-message info

Controller server status: registered
Expiry date: 20000101
SMS max allowed: 100
SMS used: 100Last update: Wed Sep  9 07:07:54 2020
Current message server: 208.91.113.184:443
Message server status: up

If the used SMS is equal to the max allowed SMS, the quota is exhausted.

If more is needed, acquire a license through support.fortinet.com or via customer service.
