Technical Tip: How to check event logs under 'Log & Report'

Description

This article describes how to check event logs such as System Events and Security Events under 'Log & Report' on FortiGate GUI.

Scope

FortiGate.

Solution

To check System Events, go to Log & Report -> System Events -> Logs. On the top-right, select the drop-down list to choose which event type to display.

 

Example:

To check Wi-Fi Events, go to Log & Report -> System Events -> Logs. On the top-right, select WiFi events from drop-down list to  display Wi-Fi logs.

To check Security Events, go to Log & Report -> Security Events -> Logs. On the top-right, select the drop-down list to choose which security event to display.
