Technical Tip: How to change FortiGate Cloud account ID

Description

 

This article describes how to change the FortiGate Cloud account ID from  A to B where account A is with a FortiGate Cloud multitenancy license. For regular accounts, account ID updates in FortiCare will automatically trigger the same in FortiGate Cloud.
Note: For either account type, email B must have not been used as the account ID of another FortiGate Cloud account.

FortiGate Cloud.


Solution

 

  • Login to the FortiCloud portal with email A.
  • Select 'Settings' -> 'Account Setting' -> Add to add a new user.
 
  • Add a New user with Email B.

 

 
  • Navigate to Settings -> Account Setting -> select B and Edit then set B as the primary user of the account.
