Technical Tip: How to change authentication certificate through GUI.

Navigate to User & Authentication -> Authentication Settings.

Through the CLI, use the following commands as shown:

FortiGate # config user setting

FortiGate(setting) # set auth-cert Fortinet_Factory

FortiGate (setting) # end

The following are examples where this certificate is used when configured under Authentication Settings -> Certificate:

1. Captive Portal -> HTTPS login page for unauthenticated users (wired/wireless).
2. HTTP-to-HTTPS Redirect Auth -> Redirects to secure login page using this certificate.
3. SAML/Radius Authentication Redirect Pages -> In special setups (like SAML auth for captive portal), the HTTPS page uses the selected certificate.
