Technical Tip: HA configuration not working in the web-based manager

Description

 

The HA configuration settings are not retained when configured using the web-based manager.

After configuring the HA settings for the FortiGate, and selecting Apply, the web-based manager requests a page refresh on the browser to view the changes.

When reviewing the configuration page after the refresh, the HA settings are not updated and the FortiGate is again set to the default Standalone Mode.

 

One or more of the interfaces may be configured as a DHCP client or PPPoE.

 

Solution

 

Configure the interface(s) with a static IP address and set the HA configuration.
