Description This article describes an issue where the faceplate fails to load or keeps spinning when editing a physical interface or a one-arm sniffer interface.
Scope FortiGate v7.6.4.
Solution

This article describes an issue where the faceplate (visual interface diagram) in the FortiGate GUI fails to load or remains in a perpetual spinning/loading state when editing a physical interface or a one-arm sniffer interface. This is a cosmetic GUI rendering bug that does not impact the underlying configuration or functionality of the interface but can hinder usability during configuration tasks.

Navigate to Network -> Interfaces -> Select an interface -> Set status down -> Select undo.

Navigate to Network -> Interfaces -> Edit one-arm-sniffer -> OK.

However, refreshing the GUI page will allow the faceplate to load successfully.

v7.6.5 (available to download from the Fortinet Support portal).
v8.0.0 (scheduled to be released in March 2026).
These timelines for firmware release are estimated and may be subject to change.
