Solution
When a single fan failure occurs, the other fans will increase their speed to keep the temperature under the threshold. This is applicable to all FortiGate models with multiple fans.
However, these fans are not field replaceable. In the event of a failure, it will be necessary to create an RMA ticket to request the replacement of the entire unit.
The exceptions are the FortiGate 7000, FortiGate 6000 and FortiGate 5000 Series chassis systems where spare fans can be ordered and replaced on-site.
