Technical Tip: FortiGate to FortiClient dial-up VPN

Description This article describes how to configure a basic dial-up pre-shared key VPN between a FortiGate unit running FortiOS 7.6.5 and a computer running FortiClient version 7.4.4. This procedure assumes some familiarity with FortiGate and FortiClient features and web-based managers and experience configuring VPNs.
Scope FortiGate and FortiClient.
Solution

Topology:

 

PC in which FortiClient is installed <-----> FortiGate.

 

Configure the VPN settings in the FortiClient, Phase 1, and Phase 2 of the VPN, as shown in Figures 1 and 2.
