Technical Tip: FortiGate is prompting the user to select a certificate while login via GUI after upgrading to FortiOS v7.4.6+, v7.0.17, v7.6.2, 7.2.11

Description

This article describes that after upgrading to FortiOS v7.0.17, v7.2.11, v7.4.6+ and v7.6.2, a user may get prompted by the browser to select a certificate while accessing the GUI of the FortiGate.

Solution

This is a known Issue (tracked by Issue ID 1109633) that is now resolved in the v7.4.8 and v7.6.3 releases.

This bug occurs under the following conditions.:

1. FortiOS v7.0.17, v7.2.11, v7.4.6+ or v7.6.2 is in use.
2. A client machine is installed with a user certificate.
3. FortiGate is installed with the CA certificate that signed the user certificate.

This document will be updated if there is any change in the schedule to fix this issue.
