Description

This article explains an issue where firewall policies on FortiGates with 2 GB RAM continue to display Proxy-Based Inspection mode in the GUI after upgrading to firmware v7.4.4 or v7.6.0, though FortiOS no longer supports proxy-related features on FortiGates with 2 GB RAM or less starting from v7.4.4.

Scope FortiGates with 2GB RAM v7.4.4, v7.6.0.
Solution

After the firmware upgrade of the FortiGates with 2 GB RAM from v7.4.3 to v7.4.4 or v7.6.0, firewall policies configured with Proxy-Based Inspection mode and associated security profiles still appear as proxy-based in the GUI.

However, the CLI does not display the proxy-inspection mode.

This issue has been resolved in FortiOS version 7.6.3.
