Description

This article describes the steps of configuring the software switch on FortiGate to communicate with a Cisco Switch.

 

Network topology:

Scope Software switch, FortiGate.
Solution
  1. On FortiGate Firewall, it needs to configure the software switch and VLAN interface under it (in the system interface section).

  1. On the Switch side, the underlay interface e0/0 is configured as a Trunk link, and a VLAN interface is also defined:

  1. As a result, vlan interface in the Switch and the FortiGate Firewall can ping each other:
