This article shows all the supported and non-supported hardware models for hardware switches.

Hardware switch is a feature on FortiOS that it is not supported by all models.

Scope

FortiGate v6.2, v6.4, v7.0, v7.2, v7.4, v7.6.

Solution

As per FortiOS 7.6.4, FortiGate models that support hardware switches are :

FortiGate/FortiWifi-30E series. (Hardware switch feature supported with maximum supported v.6.2.17).
