Technical Tip: Access to the Fortinet Community Website is blocked with message: 'We're sorry, but you have been banned from using this site.'

If this message appears on an official Fortinet website, follow the steps below to request removal of the ban.

Two recommended actions can be done:

1. Send an email to Contact Us and explain the situation and provide the IP address that its banned (Public IP in use).
2. Submit an appeal to be unbanned to the Anti-Spam Blocklist Appeal 

The two suggestions can speed up the process of getting unbanned.

The common reasons for this ban are:

• Suspicious or automated browsing behavior.
• Repeated refreshes, or even scripts, can trigger automated bans.
• Bad IP reputation, even if it is not globally blacklisted, the community site might track abusive behavior by region or subnet.
• Browser or network fingerprinting issues, using certain VPNs, proxies, or browsers with unusual headers, may look like bot traffic.
• Shared public IP abuse, or if others using the IP range previously misused the site.
• The current IP might be caught in a broad ban.

Note:

The TAC support does not handle this type of request. Such tickets will be closed as 'Out of scope'.
