Technical Note: Transceivers, supporting the SGMII mode on FortiGate units
Description
The Serial Gigabit Media Independent Interface (SGMII) mode is supported on FortiGate 3040/3140B's SFP slots. This allows users to run 10/100/1000 Mbps on a SFP copper transceiver. It requires a 3rd party transceiver module (Delta LCP-1250RJ3SR-S) that is not on Fortinet Price list.
